Delete your Upcheck account
Last Modified: 27 August 2026
Upcheck is operated by Rekwiem (business registration no. 357-58-01022). You can delete your account and its data at any time, from inside the app or by email. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
1. Delete from the app
- Open Upcheck and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Scroll to “Delete account and all data”.
- Tap Delete, then confirm in the dialog.
The account is removed as soon as you confirm. There is no waiting period and no recovery window, so export anything you want to keep first.
2. Delete by email
If you cannot sign in, email team@rekwiem.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm ownership of the address before acting. We aim to respond within a few business days.
3. What is deleted
Deleting the account erases the account record itself and everything scoped to it. This is not a deactivation: the rows are removed, not flagged.
- Your account: email address, password hash, plan and subscription state, and notification preferences.
- Your projects and every monitor in them, including their URLs, settings, and check history.
- Incidents, status events, and uptime rollups belonging to your monitors.
- Status pages, maintenance windows, and notification channels you created.
- Team memberships, and the roster and pending invites of projects you owned.
- Personal access tokens you created, and any token scoped to a project you owned.
- Registered devices and their push notification tokens.
- Your account-level audit entries, such as sign-ins and password changes.
4. What is kept, and for how long
| Data | Why it is kept | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Audit entries for actions you took inside a project owned by someone else | These are the project owner’s record of their own project, not your personal history. Letting a departing member erase them would defeat the audit trail their plan provides. The entry keeps the email address that performed the action, so the record still names who acted. | Until the owner’s retention window expires: 7 days on Free, 30 days on Pro, 90 days on Team. Removed automatically after that. |
| Purchase and billing records held by the app store | Apple and Google keep their own transaction records, and we do not control them. | As set by Apple or Google. Contact them directly about store-held data. |
| Records we are required by law to retain | Tax and accounting obligations for completed transactions. | As required by applicable law, then deleted. |
Nothing else is retained. We keep no shadow copy of a deleted account, and backups holding it age out on their normal rotation rather than being restored.
5. Deleting some data without deleting the account
You do not have to close the account to remove data. Deleting a monitor removes its history, and deleting a project removes everything inside it. Email team@rekwiem.com if you want help with a specific removal.
