UpCheck

Refund Policy

Last Modified: 2 July 2026

This Refund Policy explains when Upcheck (operated by Rekwiem, business registration no. 357-58-01022) issues refunds for paid subscriptions, and how to request one. It applies together with our Terms of Use and does not limit any non-waivable rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of the country where you live.

1. Subscriptions and billing

Paid Plans are billed in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals and your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Except as described below or as required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable and we do not provide credits or refunds for partial billing periods or for time you did not use.

2. Statutory right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within a set period after buying (for example, 7 days under Korea’s Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, or 14 days in the EEA/UK). Where this right applies and you have not been fully provided with the service, we will refund you.

Because Upcheck is a digital service that begins immediately, if you ask us to start providing it right away and it has been fully performed, the statutory withdrawal right may no longer apply, to the extent permitted by law. We will make this clear at purchase where required.

3. When we will offer a refund

  • You are within an applicable statutory withdrawal period and are eligible as described above.
  • You were charged in error, for example a duplicate charge or a charge after a valid cancellation.
  • A significant fault on our side prevented you from meaningfully using the paid features and we could not resolve it.
  • A refund is otherwise required by applicable law.

4. When a refund usually will not be offered

  • You changed your mind after the applicable withdrawal period has passed.
  • You forgot to cancel before an automatic renewal, where you retained access to the paid features.
  • You used the paid features for the period in question.
  • Your account was suspended or terminated for breach of the Terms.

Even outside these cases, we may still choose to offer a refund or credit at our discretion. This does not create an obligation to do so in future.

5. Purchases made through Apple

If you subscribed through an Apple App Store in-app purchase, Apple processes the payment and handles refunds under its own policy. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases directly; please request a refund through Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or your App Store account. You can manage or cancel these subscriptions in your Apple account settings.

6. Purchases made on the web (Paddle)

For web subscriptions, our payment provider Paddle acts as the merchant of record, and refunds are processed through Paddle. When we approve a refund, it is returned to your original payment method; the time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer. Your receipt and any invoice are issued by Paddle.

7. How to request a refund

To request a refund or ask about a charge, contact us at team@rekwiem.com from the email address on your account, and include the approximate purchase date and the reason. We aim to respond within a few business days. For App Store purchases, use Apple’s refund process as described above.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and update the date above. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
