Advanced monitoring configurations

Every monitor tunes to exactly what you are watching, from content rules to incident policy.

Content rules

Match a keyword or assert on a JSON field, so a 200 that renders an empty shell still counts as down.

Custom requests

Set the method, headers, and body to check authenticated and POST endpoints, not just a plain GET.

Response and SSL checks

Expected status codes, redirect following, and SSL-certificate validation, tuned per monitor.

Up, slow, or down

A slow threshold makes latency its own state, so a 200 that takes four seconds is not simply up.

Fail and recover thresholds

Require several failures before down and several successes before up, so a blip never pages you.

Incident policy

Tune when an incident opens, its grace before closing, and mute planned work with maintenance windows.
